Andy Cowell describes Adrian Newey’s Trackside and is first published to Aston Martin on the F1 Monaco Grand Prix.

Newey began working at Aston Martin in March as a managing technical partner.

This was after a long gardening holiday following his Red Bull exit.

Newey’s focus is primarily on the new rules for 2026, but Newey is still affecting this year.

Newey will be taking part in the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend. This is his first reveal at Aston Martin Colors this year.

Cowell, the Aston Martin team principal, explained the appearance of Newey’s Monaco.

“He’s here this weekend and he’ll see how we operate in a racing weekend environment,” Cowell told Media, including Crash.Net. “How we optimize our cars.

“We have a way to play different strategies, so with his experience and insight, what’s going well and what’s going wrong, will help us work on what we should work on to become a stronger team.”

After a difficult start to the season, Imola has proven to be an important step forward for Aston Martin.

Unlike in recent years, the upgrade package has had a positive impact on performance.

Cowell was keen to point out that Newey’s main focus is on 2026 and “car architecture.”

However, he revealed that “lunch conversation” led to a story about how to make the most of the current challenger.

“So when Adrian joined us at the beginning of March, we said, “We need Adrian to focus on 2026 and car construction.”

“The lunchtime conversations included not only what he’s eating and what he’s doing over the weekend, but also conversations about an existing car (a ’25 car) and while the issue may be, it’s another engineering team working on the ’25 car.

“When he’s working on a ’26 car, he can see all the journeys we have, especially the CFD, wind tunnel and information from drawings to the results of wind tunnels.

“He’s doing it in the factory. He’s here this weekend. He’ll see how we operate in a racing weekend environment. We’re the way to optimize our cars.

Newey “I will absolutely help everyone” at Aston Martin

Newey is considered the final piece of Aston Martin puzzle ahead of 2026.

Billionaire Lawrence Stroll has invested heavily in Silverstone’s Aston Martin headquarters.

They are also taking part in a heavy recruitment drive to sign Enrico Caldile from Ferrari and strengthen their technical team along with Newi.

Aston Martin is effectively a work team since 2026, as Honda gives them the power.

Cowell believes Newey’s qualities will have a positive impact on the entire workforce.

“Adrian’s experience. Adrian’s insight. Adrian’s creativity can help the whole team,” Cowell added.

“We need to design a faster car, but we need to maximize its performance until the final lap of every race, until his insight and creativity helps everyone on the whole team.”
