Liverpool striker Darwin Nunes is tied to a move away from the club at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old has not been able to score consistent goals and found just seven behind the net last season. Liverpool needs him an upgrade and they are linked to Victor Osimhen.

Liverpool is looking at Darwin Nunes alternatives

According to football insider Pete O’Rourke, they could aim for a Nigeria international move if South America moved.

“Liverpool has linked Osimhen as a potential target, especially if it appears Darwin Nunes is likely to leave this summer.

“He has been on the list of many clubs due to his contract status in Naples.

“Manchester United are also watching as Osimhen is about to bring in a new number nine.”

Osimhen has proven to be a reliable goal scorer for multiple clubs, and there is no doubt that he is a great acquisition for Liverpool. But he could be an expensive version. It is still unclear whether Liverpool will be able to get a deal for him on the entire line.

The players are also linked to Manchester United. He has received offers from Saudi Arabia, but the player wants to continue in Europe for now. The 26-year-old is at the peak of his strength, and it would be ideal for him to move into the Premier League. He has the physicality and technical attributes of British football. If he joins the club, he could become a key player for Liverpool.

He has no future in Naples and he aims to secure his long-term future this summer. He aims to leave the Italian club forever and focus on his football.

The player was loaned out at Galatasaray last season and scored 37 goals in all competitions. Osimhen could prove to be a major upgrade to Nunez.
