Tottenham could sign the Man City star for around £50m in January, with Spurs tipped as his perfect destination.
Spurs are looking for a new attacker to solve Frank’s creativity issues
Co-sporting directors Fabio Paratici and Johan Lange could be looking to raid the winter transfer window for attacking reinforcements to solve Thomas Frank’s key problem, according to reports.
The Dane has been heavily criticized for weeks as Spurs struggle to find any creativity in the final third, which was evident in recent London derby defeats to Chelsea and Arsenal.
The Lilywhites have barely come close to their cross-town rivals in both fixtures, with Tottenham currently boasting the second-lowest total number of shots on goal of all teams in the Premier League.

Injuries have not been kind to Spurs either, with first-choice striker Dominic Solanke, who signed a club-record deal, missing much of the start of the season and not played at all since the 2-0 win away to City at Eastlands.
Talismanic creators Dejan Kulusevski and James Maddison are also out with long-term issues, leaving the north Londoners desperately lacking in thrust to attack in certain areas.
Randall Kolo Muani gave real encouragement on Wednesday that Spurs could have plenty of quality centre-forwards if Solanke returns.

Kolo Muani was named man of the match in the Champions League win against parent club PSG, scoring twice and providing an assist for Richarlison, so Frank will be hoping to build on his achievements against Fulham.
If that happens, Tottenham’s search for a striker is likely to be put on hold until the summer, with the club reportedly big fans of 2025 FC Porto sensation Sam Agehowa.
However, Spurs are thought to be in the market for at least a winger, with Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo attracting genuine praise from the N17 amid news of a £65m release clause.
The Ghanaian’s clause will come into effect as early as January, but Spurs face overwhelming competition from the Premier League’s best batsmen to sign Semenyo.
If a transfer for the 25-year-old proves to be too complicated, perhaps a review of Sabinho’s contract could be an option.
Former club president suggests Tottenham to sign Savinho in January
The Brazil international was Spurs’ top target towards the end of the summer season, but City repeatedly blocked his move south and ultimately persuaded him to sign a new contract.
But Sabinho has received mixed reviews since then, and with the 2026 World Cup looming, January is his chance to pack his bags and shine elsewhere.
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness hinted at Spurs signing Savinho in January and is confident the Sky Blues will let him go for around £50m as Tottenham look for a new winger.
“A lot of City fans are complaining about him and so on, but I think he’s a quality player,” Wyness said.
“Obviously a change of scenery would move him in the right direction and I think it gives Spurs a chance to get a better deal with City.”
“And I expect something like this to happen in January. So I expect the discount probably not to be that high, but definitely lower than expected, probably around $50 million even with bonuses for a player of that quality.”
“And I think a fresh start at Spurs under Thomas Frank will do him a world of good and he’ll do a world of good with this Spurs. So I expect that to happen. I think it will work out well for both parties.”
According to Fabrizio Romano, Sabinho is keen to join Spurs in the summer and may not face any major player problems.
The 21-year-old scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in his final season with Girona before joining City, spearheading a brief but remarkable La Liga title challenge.
Sabinho can also play on both the right and left flanks, and the possibility of Mohamed Kudus and the South American playing on either flank is very attractive.
