Enzo Maresca’s departure from Chelsea this week could set off a merry-go-round for the manager, it has been reported.

The Italian tactician is currently unemployed, but there is no doubt there will be immediate interest in his exploits after winning silver at Stamford Bridge and qualifying for the Champions League.

One of Maresca’s options could be Manchester City, depending on what Pep Guardiola does at the end of this season, as Fabrizio Romano reported in the post below from the official X account…

Meanwhile, Chelsea face Man City in the Premier League this weekend with Under-21s manager Callum McFarlane in the dugout as interim manager, which is certainly far from ideal.

What does Chelsea’s managerial change mean for Crystal Palace?

According to The Sun, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner has been tipped as one of the candidates to replace Maresca at Chelsea.

The Austrian tactician has done a fantastic job at Selhurst Park, winning last season’s FA Cup final and winning the Community Shield earlier this season.

According to the Sun, his contract at Glasner’s Palace expires this summer, but there is a possibility that he may terminate it before he looks for a new job.He has done a great job in recent years, so a deal with a big club like Chelsea would not be unrealistic.

According to the newspaper, Getafe manager Jose Bordalas is also paying attention to Palace’s appointment.

Bordalas is certainly seen as a reasonable option for the Eagles after his strong work at Getafe, but perhaps not everyone is so convinced.

The 61-year-old has a reputation for playing very attacking and defensive football, which is a bit out of sync with the way most teams currently play.

Still, it could be a good move for Palace if it pans out, and they probably won’t be too picky when it comes to the difficult challenge of replacing a player of Glasner’s caliber.
