Tottenham Hotspur recently sacked manager Thomas Frank after disappointing results and appointed Igor Tudor as interim manager.

Former manager Tim Sherwood believes the club’s hierarchy collapsed under pressure from fans and he parted ways with Frank. He believes Spurs would not have been relegated had the Danish manager remained in charge until the end of the season.

Will Mauricio Pochettino return?

He is currently unsure whether the former Juventus manager is the right choice. However, he is confident Mauricio Pochettino will return to the club at the end of the season.

Pochettino has been linked with a return to Tottenham many times in the past. He is highly regarded within the club and is loved by the fans. It will be interesting to see if he returns to the London club after the World Cup. He is currently the coach of the U.S. national team.

Speaking on Sky Sports, manager Tim Sherwood said: “The toxic nature of the fans led to his dismissal. Thomas Frank couldn’t help himself because he was in a really bad situation, but we know that the injury situation has eased.”

“They still have a good enough team to beat the teams at the bottom of the league. This was inevitable.

“I think they didn’t want to sack him. If they kept him, he would still be in the Premier League anyway, but with the appointment of Igor Tudor they went completely to the left. That may or may not work out.”

“We know who will come in the summer, 100 per cent it will be Pochettino.

“I don’t think the club would be brave enough to rely on anyone else. There are other options, but given the pressure on other players to take the job and lose two games and have the crowd say, ‘We had a chance to bring Posh back,’ it’s impossible for them to look elsewhere.”

It remains to be seen whether Tudor can help Tottenham turn things around in the coming weeks and finish the season in a respectable position. It is unlikely that he will hold the job permanently, but he is certainly looking to make his mark on English football.
