Trafford, just 23 years old, is widely regarded as one of England’s most promising goalkeepers.

However, breaking into Manchester City’s starting line-up has always been a challenge, given the presence of established names in the squad.

Brighton lead race to sign Man City’s goalkeeper

Brighton have emerged as one of the most likely candidates, with clubs monitoring Trafford’s situation.

Current Brighton goalkeeper Bert Verbruggen is considered a ‘dream target’ if he leaves the club this summer.
