Liverpool are at a crossroads and FSG are hoping to play cautiously, but the buzz surrounding Arne Slott and his ability to lead this struggling side back to the ascendancy continues to intensify.

Some may see Mohamed Salah’s impending departure as a good thing. Salah will turn 34 in June, but there is no doubt that he has fallen significantly from his usual standards this season. But Liverpool’s problems run much deeper than the poor performance of the Premier League’s greatest player ever.

The Anfield side should finish top of the table. 4 Five times this season, too many things went wrong. There are many things that need to be fixed.

left wing. Center forward. Right fielder. There are only three separate positions that FSG will need to consider in the coming months. Needless to say, this will be a delicate transfer window for the Reds.

Target price: £34m, tells agent of Liverpool desire

With top sources such as The Athletic’s David Ornstein confirming that Slott will indeed stay, Liverpool will need to ensure complete accuracy in the summer transfer window.

The problem is that the impactful additions needed need to span multiple and different departments, not just one or two. With the need for more forwards, Liverpool may have made a smart move to replace Salah, leaving the door ajar for more players.

Sports Boom report that they believe Liverpool are also interested in Roma winger Matthias Soule, although Aston Villa are currently in the lead. That said, he has held a number of meetings with his agent in a bid to encourage interest from Liverpool and Arsenal.

Sule, 23, is one of Serie A’s most talented players and given his hefty transfer fee of €40m (equivalent to £34m), Liverpool could replace Salah without sacrificing their ability to strengthen elsewhere.

While this is an affordable deal, it is also one that could attract a lot of interest in the coming weeks, as Sur has further suitors within and outside the Premier League, so Liverpool will need to be quick if they want to land the next Luis Dias.

Why Sule could be Liverpool’s new Dias

When Sule burst onto the Serie A scene in the 2023/24 season, it was reported that his dribbling and progressive metrics could only be surpassed by Napoli’s Juvica Kvaratscheria. With this, he set the tone for his electric style.

He is more of a wide playmaker than an out-and-out touchline winger, and in fact plays across a variety of roles, as he has developed over the past few years. He is praised for his sharp and dynamic personality.special“Ball Talent” by journalist Zach Lowy.

The fluidity of this position and natural physicality on the ball is certainly reminiscent of Dias, who played for Liverpool. There’s a balance to what Soul does, a kind of equilibrium between strength and skill and style.

The Colombian has lacked a presence at Liverpool this season, with Kodi Gakpo unable to compensate on the left. It remains to be seen whether Sule will emulate Dias’ influence on the right flank, but he certainly has the roundness to bring that quality back to Anfield.

In fact, this season in Serie A, Roma’s forward has scored six goals (with just two missed big chances), provided five assists and created five big chances. He has a sharp touch on the ball, is an underrated long passer, and drives the ball forward with precision.

His crosses are clear, and although he is not a relentless runner, he is similar to Diaz in that he chooses the moments to display his explosive power.

This won’t fill the hole left on the left left when Dias left for Munich last summer, but Slott could deepen Liverpool’s near-tattered attack this year and reinvigorate a right-wing that has relied on Jeremy Frimpong’s pace this season – and what happened?

Aston Villa may be considered the front-runners at the moment, but if Liverpool decide to move Suur onto their shortlist for the summer, it won’t take long for the narrative to change.

As mentioned above, the Argentine is relatively cheap, so it could be a smart signing to replace Salah with a fleet-footed winger, opening the door for further investment.
