Leeds United are Premier League safety this season and will look to improve their squad during the summer transfer window.

They hope to establish themselves as regulars in the top league. They need to improve the quality of their squad and should also consider getting rid of underperformers in the summer. Leeds Live reports that five players could leave the club in the summer.

Facundo Buonanotte has had a disappointing loan spell at Leeds United and is set to leave the club in the summer. He has struggled to break into the matchday squad this season and it is clear that Daniel Fake does not have faith in the 21-year-old. It would be ideal for him to move on and join a club where he will have more opportunities.

Goalkeeper Karl Darlow is also set to leave. His contract expires in the summer, but Leeds United are yet to agree a new deal with the player. The 35-year-old is in the twilight stages of his career and the Premier League should look to bring in a younger replacement.

Meanwhile, striker Joel Pillow has been linked with a move away from the club for quite some time. He has struggled to get regular minutes and needs to play more often. He has not started a league game for Leeds United since August. He was a great player for Leeds in the Championship and should aim to join a club where he can rediscover himself.

Wilfried Gnont has also struggled to get regular minutes for the club this season. The 22-year-old is at a stage in his career where he needs an opportunity. Sitting on the bench at Leeds United will have a negative impact on his development.

Sam Byram is another player who could be moved. He has played just 85 minutes for the first team all season and Leeds United have no reason to keep the defender at the club.
