However, according to The Times (via Football Today), a move is unlikely to happen this summer as Bournemouth have imposed a £100m price tag on the youngster.
At the very least, this is a firm warning from the club.
Why should Liverpool and Co. be interested?
Crupi’s numbers are pretty impressive for a 19-year-old, but he particularly stands out as a forward-footed attacker.
According to Fotmob, he has won possession in the final third 1.07 times per 90 games, ranking him in the 95th percentile compared to players in his position. He rarely breaks through with his dribbles and commits fouls at a rate of 1.44 out of 90.
From the perspective of a team looking to play an aggressive pressing game, the Bournemouth star would look ready to fit in like a glove.
Of course, to be honest, there are plenty of other instant players who could be signed for around £100 million.
Certainly, I would like to follow players like Yann Diomande and Bradley Barcola. The latter are already Champions League winners.
In my opinion, as far as Liverpool’s transfer market is concerned, spending £100m on Crupi would be absolute madness.
I like the profile, but £100m would do much better than signing a young forward who is clearly too expensive.
