Tottenham preparing to move 24-year-old attacker after failed transfer in January

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing West Ham United attacker Crisencio Somerville during the summer.

West Ham are set to be relegated from the Premier League and the 24-year-old could be looking to move on. The Dutch attacker is too good to play in the championship and will want to compete at a high level.

Joining the north London club could be an exciting opportunity for him. According to a report from Voetbal International, Tottenham tried to sign the player in January and are now preparing to try again in the summer. It remains to be seen whether they can convince West Ham to sell the player.

The 24-year-old is an important player for them and they are under pressure to sell him, although they don’t want to lose him. Somerville will not want to compete in the second tier of English football. Ideally, West Ham would accept a suitable offer and move the player.

Tottenham, on the other hand, need more quality in attack. They struggle to create chances from wide areas and need to score from the wings as well. The Dutch attacker could be ideal for them. He has proven his quality in the Premier League with Leeds United and West Ham United. Now might be the right time for him to take a bigger step and join a bigger club.

Tottenham have had a disappointing season, but they have a quality manager and several top players at their disposal. They could bounce back strongly next season. Somerville could help his development in the final third and provide the player with the foundation to chase trophies.
