Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Belgian midfielder Nathan de Kat.

According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United are also interested in signing the 17-year-old Anderlecht midfielder.

The defensive midfielder is highly regarded across Europe and has a bright future ahead of him. This summer’s transfer fee could be around 40 million euros. Both Premier League clubs have the financial wherewithal to pay the asking price, and it remains to be seen whether they will make a formal offer in response to their interest.

Tottenham need a quality defensive midfielder who can protect their back four and control the tempo of the game from deep. De Cat is an excellent passer from deep and will help recycle possession.

Similarly, Manchester United also need a replacement for Casemiro. They have been rumored to be signing a number of defensive midfielders in recent weeks.

The 17-year-old may not be ready to start every week in the Premier League, but he could still be a useful first player for now. With the right guidance, he has all the tools to develop into a future star and could be a valuable asset to both clubs. The asking price seems reasonable for a player with potential and could justify the investment in the long run.

Tottenham and Manchester United would both be exciting destinations for the young midfielder. However, you need to choose your next club carefully. He should aim to join a team with a clear path to development and will need first-team minutes as well.

It remains to be seen where he will end up.

Clubs such as Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen, RB Leipzig and VfB Stuttgart are also keeping an eye on the youngster.
