Romano posted on his official X account that Como are keen on Cialova and appear to be ahead of Inter Milan in the race to sign him.

However, according to Romano, Chalová is currently playing for England at the 2026 World Cup and is in no rush to make a decision about his future…

Romano wrote: “Trevo Chalová could leave Chelsea this summer and Como could make their first formal offer for the centre-back.” “It is understood that Inter are also considering Charova as an option at centre-back. The England centre-back was focused on the World Cup, but UCL clubs were also keen. ”

Should Chelsea let Trevor Chalobah leave this summer?

Perhaps the time has come for Chelsea and Chalova to part ways, even if the 26-year-old has been a solid and reliable servant to the club.

Chalobah, who made more than 150 appearances for Chelsea, was a rock for the Blues during a rather chaotic period that saw significant cuts and changes in managers and players.

Still, it’s probably true that CFC needs to aim a little higher in central defence, so Chalobah may also see this as a good opportunity to take the next step.

Como, managed by former Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, also look like an attractive project at the moment and could be a good move for Chalobá to play regularly and contribute to the team’s development.

Who will replace Trevor Chalobah at Chelsea?

It is also worth noting that Como are making a bid for Cialova, as Chelsea appear to be working on signing a centre-back of their own.

Plans could already be afoot for the west London giants to replace Chalobá with Crystal Palace’s Maxence Lacroix or Como’s talented young defender Jacobo Ramon.

According to a previous report from TEAMtalk, Chelsea are said to be increasing their interest in Ramon, but see below for X’s Ben Jacobs’ post about interest in Lacroix…
