Martin Odegaard has been linked with a move from Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old was not at his best last season, scoring just one goal in the Premier League. He played nearly 1,400 minutes in league play and also recorded seven assists. His performances were very mediocre and he was not guaranteed to be a starter for the Premier League champions.

Will Martin Odegaard leave?
Mick Brown now claims the Norwegian could be shown the door in the summer. Arsenal signed Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace last summer and he is expected to start more as an attacking midfielder next season.
“It’s possible[that he could leave]. Early last season, Arsenal’s biggest threat was Odegaard linking up with Saka, and they did that very well,” Brown told Football Insider.
“I think he realized that he had to give the ball to Saka early, before Saka got into the final third, and then there was nowhere to go. Then he got injured and left the team, and the team couldn’t find the same connection of play.”
“I thought he was being unfairly criticized for his injury, but never mind, it happened and it will happen.
“So, from what I’ve heard, he could leave Arsenal. I wouldn’t be surprised if that happened.”

Odegaard may use his hands
Odegaard will not want to sit on the bench at Arsenal and should aim for a move. He has always shown his quality in the Premier League and there is no doubt that he is a top player. If he becomes available, many clubs will consider signing him.
Arsenal need more quality in the final third and investing in quality wingers should be a top priority. Selling the 27-year-old midfielder could free up funds to further improve the team. They also need to invest in a quality striker.
It remains to be seen whether a suitable move can be found for Odegaard in the coming weeks.
