Liverpool are interested in signing UD Almeria attacker Sergio Arribas in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old has been a special asset to the Spanish club, scoring 26 goals in all competitions. He provided seven assists in Spanish football’s second tier last season.
He can play not only in the center but also on both sides. His excellent finishing inside the box and technical ability to create chances for his teammates make him an attractive proposition for several clubs.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool can make a deal. According to Ideal, they are in the race to secure his contract and the former Real Madrid player is expected to move this summer.
It’s no secret that Liverpool need more quality in their attacking line. With Hugo Ekitike out for the majority of the upcoming campaign, more attacking depth will be needed. They can’t rely on Alexander Isak playing every week.
They will take part in the Premier League and UEFA Champions League. Team depth is needed to rotate players and keep key players fresh.
Arribas could be attracted to the idea of joining Liverpool. It would be a big step up in his career and he would be playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. Liverpool could offer him a platform to showcase his Premier League qualities and fight for major trophies.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will inherit their interest and seal the deal with a formal offer. UD Almeria do not want to lose the player easily, but if a top club comes forward with a lucrative offer, they may not be able to prevent the player from leaving.
