Ben Jacobs updates Bruno Guimarães on Arsenal move

Bruno Guimarães has already verbally agreed personal terms with Arsenal, according to a detailed update from renowned journalist Ben Jacobs.

This development represents a major step forward on the player’s part, and shows that contract length and personal wages will not be an issue for the Gunners.

Despite this great progress, major hurdles remain. Newcastle United continue to insist their captain will not be sold this summer.

The Magpies’ leadership has previously denied any direct talks with Arsenal and maintains an active public stance to prevent their key star from leaving the club.

However, following landmark conversations with the player’s camp, Arsenal are fully expected to make a formal bid to force Newcastle into structured negotiations.

Arsenal have already had two lucrative official offers rejected in recent weeks.

The first approach, valued at around £55m, was quickly rejected, and a much improved second package, totaling £65m, was also firmly rejected by the Magpies.

Despite these setbacks, the reigning Premier League champions refuse to walk away.

The club’s leadership is now planning a third official bid, aimed at ultimately testing Newcastle’s resolve.

In a previous update from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, he said a valuation between £65m and £90m was likely to be the sweet spot needed to accelerate formal negotiations between the clubs.

Guimarães has already formally informed Newcastle of his strong desire to join Arsenal, and the Gunners believe an increased package will be key to a deal.

Martinelli on Bruno Guimarães: “He’s one of the best midfielders in the world.”

Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has previously spoken highly of his compatriot, praising the midfielder’s impact on the pitch.

“He’s one of the best midfielders in the world,” Martinelli told Sky Sports.

“He has incredible quality, he controls the game and is also a great person. I think everyone would want to have him in their team.”

Martinelli’s public support highlights the strong relationship between the two dating back to their days with the Brazilian national team and further strengthens the belief that Guimarães will make a smooth transition into Arteta’s tactical framework at the Emirates.
