Manchester City are aiming to regain the Premier League title next season and are aiming for success in the transfer market.
Josep Guardiola failed to win a title in his last two seasons at the Etihad Stadium and it is now up to Enzo Maresca to turn Man City into champions again.
Speaking after returning to the Etihad Stadium, Maresca said: “It’s a big challenge for many reasons. We’ve had success over the last 10 to 15 years, but it’s also a great challenge.
“The goal is to continue or continue the last 10 years or the last few years where everything has been very good, so I’m very excited.”
But to reach those heights, the Italian will need to be strengthened in the current transfer window, with England captain Harry Kane in City’s sights.
Man City hold talks to sign Harry Kane
As revealed by TEAMtalk, Man City are currently in talks to keep informed about Kane’s future at Bayern Munich, but his future remains in doubt as he has one year left on his current contract.
As you might expect, Bayern are keen to link the England star on new terms, and the German side remain confident of keeping him, but if they are unable to do so, he could be waiting on the sidelines for City to swoop in.

Harry Kane on the brink of leading England to World Cup glory
Kane is two games away from becoming only the second England captain after Bobby Moore in 1966 and the first to host a World Cup on foreign soil.
The 32-year-old has scored six goals in six games and converted the decisive penalty in the 3-2 round of 16 win over Mexico, giving the Three Lions, now down to 10 men, more breathing room.
The Ballon d’Or candidate, who was Maresca’s dream target during his time at Chelsea, is now the second-highest scorer in top flight history with 85 goals for England and 213 in the Premier League.
However, unless Man City choose to sign Haaland and Maresca switches to a two-striker system, there is little point in signing Kane.
