According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham have completed direct checks on Diabate, along with Aston Villa, Brighton and Brentford. The 18-year-old midfielder is rapidly becoming a player to watch and is ready to give the green light to a move provided he receives adequate game time to further develop his development.
The big question is whether that puts the Spurs at a disadvantage. They have already spent big to bring in Matheus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali. As a result, Diabaté may be forced to prioritize other clubs, as game time will be very important for options outside of the first-team set-up.
