Newcastle should press ahead with signing Tomori
It’s not every day that a Scudetto-winning defender with Premier League and Champions League experience is available for just €20m (about £17m), which is what makes Tomori a must-buy option.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport and relayed by Sport Witness, Newcastle and Coventry have given the green light to sign Tomori, with the defender’s departure from Milan now looking inevitable.
He has only one year left on his current contract, making it a bargain price. It will be up to the two Premier League clubs to turn that interest into an offer.

As a centre-back partnership, Tomori and Chiau could give Newcastle the best combination, as Sven Botman and Fabian Schaal were always together. The Milan man will bring a wealth of experience and tackling success that Thiau lacks, while the Newcastle man will maintain a high level of success in duels.
Tomori has a long way to go before he becomes a Premier League player again, but a move away from Milan is certainly on the cards this summer.
