Fabrizio Romano today announced the news that Alejandro Garnacho’s transfer to Aston Villa is almost complete.

The second stage of his medical is “currently underway” and the player has agreed to join Villa, with Chelsea agreeing a move with Unai Emery’s side.

At first the terms were very mysterious, but Romano gradually leaks them to the world. Initial reports suggested that he would only be on loan, with the move becoming permanent next summer if certain conditions were met.

No one knew what the loan fees would be, what it would take to get a full deal, and no one knew how much the villa would cost. However, Romano has already reported details regarding the transfer.

Romano approves Garnacho’s option

Although no figures are available yet, it is understood that “it is believed that the purchase obligation clause will be easily achieved.”

It is “almost certain” that Garnacho will be on the move, but it is probably just as achievable even with fewer Premier League appearances or success on the pitch.

This is in line with Chelsea’s wishes. They had originally only insisted on a permanent transfer, so the fact that he agreed to a loan always gave the impression that it could easily become a permanent transfer.

Let’s all hope that Garnacho has a great season and takes the next step after 12 months at a healthy fee that everyone will be happy with.
