WWE President and TKO Board member Nick Khan is optimistic about WWE’s expanding global presence on major streaming platforms like ESPN, Netflix, the CW Network, and YouTube. Since Khan took charge, one of WWE’s most significant moves was purchasing Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide in April 2025. During an interview on “The Varsity,” Khan expressed his satisfaction with the exponential growth in AAA’s audience, regardless of the platform they use to watch the promotion.
Khan explained, “We intentionally stream AAA on YouTube internationally, except in Mexico where it’s broadcast on Fox Mexico—specifically Rupert Fox, not to be confused with the other Fox involved in litigation unrelated to us. Being on Fox Mexico means it’s also available on Tubi, which is free TV in Mexico, and we appreciate that for the country. YouTube remains free globally, and we’re seeing significant audience growth with our Lucha Libre AAA product.”
Currently, WWE and AAA are fresh off AAA’s major annual event, TripleMania 34, with night one held last Friday in Las Vegas and night two on Sunday in Mexico City. AAA’s weekly show airs every Saturday on both AAA’s and WWE’s YouTube channels in the U.S., as well as on Fox and Fox One across Mexico and Latin America.

Fan Take: This development is huge for fight fans as it signals WWE’s commitment to growing international wrestling audiences through accessible digital platforms. The success of AAA under WWE’s wing could bring fresh styles and fresh stars into the global spotlight, boosting the sport’s diversity and appeal worldwide.
