Ciryl Gane Reacts to UFC 334 Josh Hokit Title Bout

<p>Ciryl Gane, the newly recognized UFC heavyweight champion, has reached out to the undefeated Josh Hokit ahead of their upcoming clash.</p>

<p>The UFC recently elevated Gane from interim to the undisputed heavyweight champ following Tom Aspinall’s decision to vacate the belt. Gane is slated to defend his title against Hokit at UFC 334, scheduled for November 14 at Madison Square Garden. This fight was revealed during the UFC 331 broadcast this past weekend.</p>

<p>Additionally, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison is set to make her much-anticipated return to defend her belt against the legendary Amanda Nunes at the same event.</p>

<p>Shortly after the announcement of his fight with Hokit, “Bon Gamin” took to X to express his excitement:</p>

<p>Gane earned the interim heavyweight title at UFC Freedom 250 by finishing Alex Pereira with a second-round knockout. He was originally set for a title unification bout against Aspinall later this year, but Aspinall injured his right eye again and won’t be medically cleared to fight anytime soon, leading him to vacate the title.</p>

<p>As a result, Gane has been promoted to the undisputed champion and will now face the number six-ranked contender, Josh Hokit.</p>

<p>This year, Hokit has already secured three wins and will vie for the undisputed heavyweight championship after only four UFC appearances.</p>

<p>Known as “The Incredible Hokit,” Josh is just one win away from claiming the UFC’s 265-pound title, which has Dana White concerned.</p>

<p>At the UFC 331 post-fight press conference, White openly criticized Hokit’s outspoken nature, his hype on the mic, and divisive remarks. White hinted at his discomfort with the possibility of Hokit becoming champion, sharing with the media:</p>

    <p>“I got a lot of thoughts on that. Lots and lots… I’m not saying that I don’t like Josh Hokit. I literally don’t f***ing like anything Josh Hokit says. And that’s not gonna change unless he changes, which I don’t see happening. So, I’m gonna have to deal with that. That’s a me issue.”</p>
