Coach Xavi has provided a reassuring update regarding Donyell Malen’s injury, stating it is “not too bad,” after the Netherlands forward had to withdraw from the national team.
Malen has been in outstanding form since his move from Aston Villa to Roma in January.
Since debuting in Serie A on January 18, he has netted 20 goals across 23 matches, significantly outpacing any other player during this time, with Tasos Douvikas and Lautaro Martinez trailing behind at 10 goals each.

This season, Malen has already scored six goals in Serie A, leading all players, and has exceeded his expected goals (xG) of 4.6.
He also leads the league with 10 shots on target and boasts an impressive scoring rate of one goal every 57.5 minutes in Italy’s top division.
