Lewis Hall described it as “an obvious choice” to renew his long-term contract with Newcastle United, despite interest from Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
This month, Hall put an end to the rumors regarding his future by signing a new deal with Newcastle, which is said to extend until 2031.
Having joined his childhood team from Chelsea in 2023, Hall has appeared in 109 matches for Newcastle across all competitions, starting 82 of them.
He played a vital role in helping Newcastle secure the EFL Cup in 2025, ending a 70-year wait for a domestic trophy, although he missed the final against Liverpool due to a foot injury.

He noted that being linked to another club is a sign of positive performances, stating, “It’s a compliment to how I play and who I am as a person.”

Recently called back to the England squad by Thomas Tuchel for Nations League matches against Spain, Czechia, and Croatia, Hall is eager to prove himself after missing the World Cup squad.
Looking toward the future, he believes his time at St James’ Park aligns with his aspirations, saying, “I’m thankful for the trust from the board and manager. I’m focusing on each game and doing my best for this club, which has its own ambitions.”
With eight points from five Premier League matches, Newcastle will play Coventry City on October 12 after the international break.
