Olympic gold medalist and former UFC two-division champion Henry Cejudo is set to make his professional boxing debut against undefeated contender and actor Javon “Wanna” Walton in the main event of Misfits Boxing’s return to Miami on Saturday, September 26.
At 39 years old, Cejudo stands as one of the most decorated fighters in combat sports history. After winning Olympic gold in freestyle wrestling in 2008, he went on to claim UFC titles in both the flyweight and bantamweight divisions before retiring from MMA for the second time in late 2025. Though he has stayed active in combat sports through Real American Freestyle competitions, Saturday will mark his first official professional boxing match.
Initially, Cejudo was scheduled to fight Misfits Boxing veteran Deen The Great, but Deen withdrew less than two weeks ahead of the event. The 20-year-old Walton, better known for his acting work as Ashtray on HBO’s “Euphoria,” stepped in on short notice. Despite his young age, Walton holds more pro boxing experience than Cejudo, sporting a 3-0-1 record with one knockout and most recently defeating Anthony Mora by unanimous decision in September 2025.
