Tony Stewart, a NASCAR Hall of Famer and three-time Cup Series champion, is set to drive the Kaulig Racing Ram 1500 at Talladega Superspeedway next month. At 55 years old, Stewart surprised fans with his return to NASCAR during the season opener at Daytona, although his race ended prematurely due to a wreck.
“Racing a Ram truck at a venue like Talladega is an opportunity you can’t pass up,” Stewart said in a team statement. “February’s Daytona race was a blast, but this next race is about enjoying myself while helping Kaulig Racing gather valuable experience on superspeedways. Ram has poured a lot of passion into this NASCAR comeback, and if my know-how can help the team refine its drafting techniques and accelerate learning, it’s a win for everyone.”
In addition to his three Cup championships and 49 wins in NASCAR’s top tier, Stewart boasts 11 victories in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and two wins in the NASCAR Truck Series, both at Daytona. The upcoming Talladega race will mark his eighth start in the Truck Series and his first at this Alabama superspeedway.

Fox Sports will air all the NASCAR Truck Series action at Talladega live at 4 p.m. EDT on Friday, October 23.
