It’s the weekend, and a lot of people like to risk a little for the chance to win big.
Each Friday I assemble five top bets, trying to turn pocket change into something worthwhile. This week’s five-leg parlay checks in at +1198 on DraftKings Sportsbook — a $10 wager would return $129.80.

Oklahoma — Total: Under 14.5 (-120)
Oklahoma boasts a top-tier defense that could keep the score respectable against Georgia, but their offense has struggled. Two weeks ago they managed just 10 points and under 300 yards at Michigan, and I don’t expect them to reach double digits in a hostile away environment.
Iowa — Total: Under 17.5 (-160)
Iowa heads to Michigan in what profiles as a grind-it-out, field-position battle. If Michigan’s offense limits turnovers, Iowa will likely find it difficult to produce big plays against a stout Wolverine defense that’s already been involved in several low-scoring affairs this season.
USC — To win 1st quarter (-125)
Lincoln Riley often bucks convention by choosing to take the ball to start games when he wins the coin toss, rather than deferring. That increases the likelihood USC will have the ball to begin the game, which matters a lot when you’re betting just the first quarter.
Virginia Tech at Boston College — 1st Quarter: Under 10.5 (-185)
You may need to use an alternate line for this one, but it fits in the five-leg ticket. The forecast calls for heavy wind and rain in the Northeast this weekend, so I expect both teams to be conservative offensively early on.
Baltimore Ravens — Moneyline vs. Dallas Cowboys (-175)
The Ravens head to Brazil to face the Cowboys on Sunday. Dallas has yet to show the defensive improvement many expected, surrendering nearly 400 yards and almost six yards per play in each of its first two outings; I’m banking on the Ravens to come out on top in what could be a shootout.
Fan Take: The Ravens-Cowboys matchup is worth watching for NFL fans because it highlights whether Dallas’s defense can actually improve and because the international setting underscores the league’s global expansion efforts. How this game plays out could influence perceptions of both teams’ trajectories and the NFL’s continued push into new markets.
