Last year, he scored 27 goals and accumulated 67 points, totaling 102 goals and 208 points over his time in Columbus.
The Blue Jackets acquire Matthew Knies, a 23-year-old forward with a physically powerful game and impressive offensive production despite injury setbacks last season. He posted a career-high 66 points, including 23 goals, in 2024-25, often playing alongside stars Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.
