Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka is set to clash with Navajo Stirling in the headline bout for UFC’s upcoming event in Doha, Qatar, scheduled for November 21, the organization revealed on Tuesday. Former bantamweight champ Aljamain Sterling will also be featured, taking on promising featherweight contender Kevin Vallejos.
Prochazka (32-6-1) aims to bounce back after a title fight defeat to Carlos Ulberg in April, where despite causing an injury to his opponent, he was knocked out in the first round. Since joining the UFC in 2020, Prochazka has remained unbeaten in non-title fights, with his only losses coming in championship bouts against Ulberg and a pair of defeats to Alex Pereira.
Stirling (11-0) boasts an unblemished 6-0 record inside the octagon. A signee from the Contender Series, he’s already competed three times this year, securing knockouts against Bruno Lopes, Ion Cutelaba, and former light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.
The event will also showcase a lightweight matchup between Brian Ortega and Dan Hooker, marking Ortega’s return after withdrawing from a recent fight with Renato Moicano due to an eye injury. Hooker, meanwhile, is stepping back into the cage quickly following a first-round knockout loss to Salahdine Parnasse earlier this month.
