Joao Felix shared that he has considered the possibility of being the one to assist Cristiano Ronaldo on his 1,000th goal, stating that “the goal will be etched in soccer history.”
Recently, Ronaldo netted a goal in Al-Nassr’s victory over Abha, bringing his overall career tally to 979 goals at both the club and international levels.
The 41-year-old has hinted that he may conclude his international career by the end of the season, and it’s still uncertain whether he will continue playing at the club level beyond 2026-27.
Felix plays with Ronaldo at both Al-Nassr and the Portuguese national team and expressed pride in potentially assisting with this milestone goal.
“I’ve thought about it,” Felix told Diario AS when asked about the opportunity to assist Ronaldo’s 1,000th goal.
“Whenever he’s one goal away, I’ll make sure to look for him whenever I have the ball to try and set him up.”
“That goal will be a significant moment in soccer history, and being part of it would be amazing.”

Felix made a strong impression in his first season with Al-Nassr, scoring 20 goals and delivering 13 assists to help the team secure the Saudi Pro League title after a seven-year drought.
The 26-year-old was honored as the league’s player of the season and expressed happiness at seeing Ronaldo finally lift the trophy.
“It’s a privilege that few in soccer can claim,” Felix remarked. “I experienced it with my national team, and now I’ve done it with Al Nassr.”
“It’s genuinely an honor. We grew up idolizing Cristiano, and it’s incredible to share these moments with him.
“Winning the league last year was especially poignant, as I was able to help Cristiano achieve a title he has been pursuing since joining the team.”
“We need to savor these moments because we know they won’t last forever. But while he’s here, we will be here too.”
