The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office had previously stated that while an autopsy has been completed, further tests may require several weeks to finalize. Satterley was discovered unresponsive inside a vehicle parked at a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines, Illinois, around 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 27. Witnesses said patrons noticed him and called emergency services, with some searching for medical supplies inside the restaurant before paramedics arrived. The medical examiner’s office confirmed he was declared dead at 4:08 p.m. Des Plaines is near O’Hare International Airport. Satterley was 40 years old.
His death occurred less than a day after his wrestling appearance at AEW All Out held at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. During the event on Saturday night, he competed against Andrade El Idolo for the AEW National Championship and later participated in the main event match between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay. Throughout the show, he showed no outward signs of any health issues.
