Thomas Tuchel believes it’s unlikely England will find another striker of Harry Kane’s caliber.
Kane is just two matches away from matching Peter Shilton’s record as England’s all-time leading appearance holder, with 125 caps.
The Bayern Munich forward already holds the record as England’s top scorer, with 87 goals from 123 matches for the national team.
Despite scoring twice in England’s recent games, Kane did miss a penalty during last Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to reigning champions Spain.
Last season, the 33-year-old racked up 73 goals for both club and country, and Tuchel believes it will be a long time before we see another striker like him.
“He is an exceptional goalscorer with a keen finishing ability,” Tuchel noted about Kane.
“He motivates everyone around him with his dedication and has become a notably diligent forward in addition to his shooting skills. He truly is the complete package.”

When asked about potential successors to Kane post-retirement, Tuchel responded, “You won’t find another Harry Kane, that’s for sure.
“We’re exploring different alternatives. The last match saw Jude [Bellingham] playing as a number nine.
“There will be new talents, but none will be a replica of Harry. We’ll figure it out when we need to, though it may take a decade.”
One option could be Jude Bellingham, who scored eight goals for England in the World Cup.
“I see him as a number nine,” Tuchel said of Bellingham. “This allows him to contribute on both sides without upsetting the team’s balance.
“In the last match, we experimented with him in a central 10 role, which allows more flexibility and gives both Harry and Jude a chance to create overloads on the flanks. We’re developing that strategy.
“Jude should always be capable of breaking through the last line and getting in the box.
“He’s a natural goal-scorer with the drive to be involved in crucial moments, making it less significant if he plays as a nine or a ten.”
Fan Take: This discussion about the future of English football highlights the importance of nurturing new talents like Jude Bellingham. As Kane prepares to leave a gigantic legacy, fans should keep an eye on how future players adapt and evolve to fill those impressive shoes, shaping the sport for years to come.
