A clash between two Brazilian strawweights is set to take place in Abu Dhabi.
At UFC 333, Nicolle Caliari will face off against Iasmin Lucindo. The event is scheduled for October 24 at the Etihad Arena and will be available to stream on Paramount+. This matchup was confirmed to MMA Junkie by sources familiar with the fight, who chose to remain anonymous as UFC has not yet officially announced the pairing.
Caliari, holding a professional record of 9-4 overall and 1-2 in the UFC, is looking to build momentum after her submission victory over Shauna Bannon in May. She hopes to bounce back following losses to Ernesta Kareckaite and Carli Judice earlier in 2025.
Lucindo, with an 18-6 professional record and 5-2 in the UFC, is set to return after serving a nine-month suspension for testing positive for mesterolone. Her camp has maintained that the positive test was unintentional due to contaminated supplements.
An investigation conducted by the UFC anti-doping agency, CSAD, supported Lucindo’s claims. She was tested out of competition following a win over Angela Hill, a victory that helped her recover after a prior defeat to Amanda Lemos.
