Unrivaled co-founder Breanna Stewart is set to defend her league championship this winter with Mist BC. The 3-on-3 women’s basketball league announced the squads for the 2027 season on Wednesday, confirming that the New York Liberty star will return along with two other champions from last year—Arike Ogunbowale and Veronica Burton. They will be joined by Izzy Harrison, Bridget Carleton, and Kiki Rice.
The league features eight teams, each with six players. While rosters change annually to maintain excitement, many Unrivaled teams maintain a core of players from the same WNBA franchises. The Dallas Wings and Toronto Tempo both lead with six representatives apiece.
Gabby Williams, recently honored as WNBA Finals MVP, will compete for the Laces alongside Marine Johannes, Jackie Young, Maddy Siegrist, and Jess Shepard. Satou Sabally, who missed much of the WNBA season due to a serious head injury, will complete the team.
Atlanta Dream’s Jordin Canada, Rhyne Howard, and Allisha Gray will team up on the Vinyl with Dearica Hamby, Flau’jae Johnson, and Aneesah Morrow. The Lunar Owls roster is built from three WNBA duos: Courtney Williams and league co-founder Napheesa Collier (Minnesota Lynx), Skylar Diggins and Sydney Taylor (Chicago Sky), and Marina Mabrey and Temi Fagbenle (Toronto Tempo).
Rising stars Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron will join Cameron Brink, Natisha Hiedeman, Rae Burrell, and Naz Hillmon to form the Hive. Meanwhile, the Phantom, Breeze, and Rose are the only teams composed entirely of players from different WNBA squads.
Each team will play 14 games during the season, facing every other team twice. The full schedule will be announced on Friday.
