Time is winding down to make a deal.
What’s the latest on Colts superstar running back Jonathan Taylor? After Indianapolis dealt Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner, are the Colts sellers? Might another high-profile back be on the move? Or is a team targeting a different position entirely?
Here are the newest trade buzz items ahead of the 2026 NFL trade deadline on Nov. 10 at 4 p.m. ET:
Jonathan Taylor update
It’s messy. Multiple reports say the Colts want a first-round pick or a package of Day 2 picks for Taylor, but there’s disagreement over whether Indianapolis will actually trade him. The Ringer says the Colts are unlikely to move Taylor because teams haven’t met their asking price, while The Athletic expects a trade and lists the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants among the favorites. Through eight games this season Taylor has 610 rushing yards, eight rushing TDs and 4.1 yards per carry, plus 202 receiving yards. He signed a two-year, $44 million extension in August that keeps him under contract through 2028.
Daniel Jones interest?
There’s also a chance the Colts could trade their quarterback. ESPN reports Daniel Jones, in the first year of a two-year, $88 million deal, has drawn trade inquiries; the Baltimore Ravens were among the teams that checked in before they acquired Jacoby Brissett. Jones is enduring one of his worst seasons, with 1,542 passing yards, five touchdowns, nine interceptions, a 68.7 passer rating and a 60.4% completion rate.
Is Derrick Henry available?
Despite earlier interest, the Ravens have made it clear Henry isn’t available, per ESPN. Henry, in the first season of a two-year, $30 million extension, has rushed for 689 yards and eight touchdowns this year at 3.9 yards per carry.
Trey McBride trade talk
The Denver Broncos asked about Cardinals tight end Trey McBride but were rebuffed, ESPN reports. McBride — a 2025 All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler — is in year one of a four-year, $76 million deal. This season he leads the NFL with 66 catches for 544 yards and five TDs; over the previous two seasons (2024–25) he averaged 118.5 catches and 1,192.5 yards per year, and he had 11 receiving TDs in 2025.
Chiefs courting a receiver?
Kansas City has “continued to be intrigued” by Jaguars wideout Brian Thomas Jr., according to ESPN. The No. 23 pick in the 2024 draft has fallen out of favor in Jacksonville’s offense, totaling just 10 catches in eight games this year. Last season he had 48 receptions for 707 yards and two TDs; his 2024 rookie year produced 87 catches for 1,282 yards and 10 TDs (and a Pro Bowl nod). The 5–2 Chiefs have dropped their last two games.
Fan take:
These trade whispers matter because moving a star like Taylor or flipping depth pieces at the deadline can instantly change playoff trajectories and roster-building strategies across the league. For fans and fantasy players alike, any blockbuster or surprising swap will reshape matchups, draft stock, and the narrative of who’s genuinely buying or selling at the deadline.
