Mikel Arteta finishes striker transfer in search of Arsenal

Another week has passed and it’s not clear to learn who will sign Arsenal striker.

Sesko vs Gyoker is discussing Rumbles and continues until the club moves firmly to land one of them or throws wildcards into the mix.

I’ve heard a purr from Germany this week.

I’m sure Arsenal thinks him like all the other top clubs scrutinizing the striker market, but I believe it’s Sesco and Gyoker who are sitting at the top of the club’s list.

Ekitike is talented and that’s very clear, but the message Frankfurt has sent this summer suggests he wants a fee of around £85 million for the young French.

So there’s still a lot of uncertainty about the situation with the striker, and certainly we’re looking at it from the outside anyway. I’m sure they know what they want to do, but now everyone keeps guessing.

One thing I’m sure is that Mikel Arteta puts more and more pressure on the people above him to sort something quickly.

The first batch of players will return to preseason before taking off to Lamanga before taking off to Asia.

Arteta will certainly want to have his new striker on board before the team heads out to Singapore.

So I’m sure he’s knocking on the door at Corney, London.

But we still don’t know who it is.

Arsenal has not yet reached an agreement with Valencia over Christian Mosquera

Arsenal’s move towards Christian Mosquera was one of those deals that suddenly came out.

There was a temporary link a while ago, but nothing was too serious.

At the time of writing this column, there is no agreement between the defenders between Arsenal and Valencia. Arsenal’s opening offer was rejected.

Arsenal is expected to return imminently with improved bids and reports suggesting that personal terms have already been agreed with Mosquera.

I can’t pretend to know much about him, but he looks like a decent young defender with all the attributes he needs to succeed in the Premier League.

The key is that he is the right-footed centre-back and Arsenal needs to bring the cover into that position.

Ben White and Julien Timber can cover William Saliba if necessary, but both have injuries issues so it looks like a smart squad to move for someone like Mosquera.

He’s young so there’s a lot to learn, but if the deal was finished he couldn’t have two good centre-backs to learn ropes more than Saliva and Gabriel.

I’m a huge fan of Ebeki Eze and am quite vocal about my desire to see Arsenal move for him this summer.

There was now discussion with his representative to learn about the potential terms of any deal, but that’s as far as things have been going on so far.

And Arsenal has spoken with many broad player representatives this summer as Andrea Berta is about to evaluate all the options available in the market.

So, discussions with these AIDS agents don’t mean that an offer comes from Arsenal, but I hope he comes this summer as I think he’s a perfect fit for this Arsenal team.

It is clear that this team is missing out on Maverick type attackers. This is someone who can do something from what can open the game.

Arsenal struggle in tight games against packed defense. That really cost them last season with injuries.

People like Eze can provide that spark. He was able to add that extra creativity that Arsenal had been screaming for the past year or so.

He scores goals and achieves goals. He can play on the left. Alternatively, you can move inwards in the central area when he is struggling or with him, instead of Odegard.

I think Eze will offer Arteta so many new options. He’s going to be a great signature.

It’s a gamble, but Arsenal probably has it right with Thomas Party

I think Arsenal made the right call to Thomas Parti.

They will miss him next season, I’m sure that, but I don’t think they could have justified giving him a wage increase or even given him conditions consistent with what he was before.

Yes, he definitely had his best season with Arsenal shirts last season, and his availability was once great.

However, he is now 32 years old and does not mean he should forget the previous season when injuries were constantly a problem.

I can’t confidently say these injuries issues wouldn’t have returned next season, so I don’t know how Arsenal gave him what he wanted.

If he agreed to make wage cuts, I’m sure we’d reached an agreement, but he didn’t, and that’s understandable on his part.

He’s interested elsewhere and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s now in Spain, but for Arsenal it’s a good opportunity to move on.

I think Christian Norgaard is a smart signature. It doesn’t excite me too much, but it makes sense when you break it down. He came to replace the team’s Jorginho, which is a perfectly appropriate replacement for the experienced Italian who started nine league games last season.

He knows the Premier League well, so you’ll expect him to be running and fill in the remaining team positions with the departure of Jorgiño.

As Martín Zubimendi comes to replace Partey, there is a big change in the mid-arteta game, and both players could be key to Arsenal’s chances this season.
