  • Lewis Diaz is gaining interest this summer
  • Liverpool is not planning to sell Colombians

Liverpool firmly rejected any attempt to launch a discussion about the potential relocation of Bayern Munich’s Louis Diaz, sending a clear and consistent message that Colombian wingers are not on sale under any circumstances this summer.

Bayern sports director Max Ebal wanted to approach Liverpool on behalf of the German champion and explore his contract with Diaz, but according to Sky Sports News’ Reior Thomas, the Premier League champion refused Bayern’s approach and ended communication shortly after the approach was made.

Lewis Diaz is gaining interest this summer

This is the second time Liverpool has taken this solid stance about Diaz’s future this summer. Early in the window, Barcelona took an unofficial approach for the 28-year-old, but only receives the same message from Liverpool that players are not on sale.

Despite speculation and interest from Al Nassle, the top European club and Saudi Arabian professional league side, Diaz reportedly views him as the target of their top winger, according to Ben Jacobs, but Liverpool’s position remains the same.

Under the guidance of CEO Michael Edwards and sports director Richard Hughes, Liverpool’s leadership prioritizes team stability and pitch performance in their summer strategy.

Diaz is a key member of Liverpool’s setup and is considered an important part of the club’s project under manager Arne Slot.

His ability in big matches, his ability to contribute defensively in the press and add creativity in the final third makes him reluctant to lose Liverpool being a player in order to defend his Premier League title and prepare to compete in the Champions League next season.
