In the fall, Braden Jacobs, son of former NFL player Brandon Jacobs, is set to play as an offensive lineman for Clemson as a freshman. After watching Braden’s workout video on Tuesday, it’s clear that anyone hoping to pass rush against him might need extra training to keep up.

Brandon Jacobs shared a video of their joint workout, where fans quickly noticed a significant size difference between father and son. In the video, Braden towers over Brandon, which is impressive given Brandon’s own reputation for size and strength. Brandon was known for his imposing stature, standing 6’4″ and weighing 264 pounds during his time with the Giants—2 inches taller and 15 pounds heavier than Derrick Henry.

However, in the workout, Brandon seems average or even small next to Braden, who Clemson lists at 6’7″ and 320 pounds. It’s remarkable to see Brandon, once known for his physical dominance in the NFL, now seemingly overshadowed by his son. Fans had already noted this height difference back in May when Brandon congratulated Braden on his high school graduation.

Brandon had a successful nine-season NFL career, initially serving as a goal-line back before becoming the Giants’ main running back for several years. Between 2007 and 2010, he gained 3,756 rushing yards and scored 33 touchdowns. Injuries later limited his performance, and after a brief stint with the 49ers in 2012, he returned to the Giants for a final season before retiring.

Braden, rated as a four-star recruit, aims to follow in his father’s footsteps by developing his skills at Clemson. Although he has yet to play in an official game, he participated in the team’s annual spring game in April.
