Thursday’s FIFA Club World Cup Results

Palmeiras 2, Al Ahly 0

Palmeiras kicked off the scoring with a unique goal that propelled them to a four-point lead in Group A. After a lucky touch from Al Ahly’s Wessam Abu Ali in the 49th minute, José Manuel López extended the lead in the 59th minute. Palmeiras made the most of their only shot on target from a total of ten attempts, while Al Ahly struggled to capitalize on their eight shots.

Inter Miami 2, Porto 1

Lionel Messi showcased his incredible talent with a stunning free kick, leading Inter Miami to their first Club World Cup victory against Porto. Atlético Madrid quickly took control in their match, though the Sounders managed to keep things competitive for a time. After a strong first-half performance from Atlético, they secured a 2-0 lead. Seattle pulled one back through Albert Rathnack, but Barrios sealed the game for Atlético with a final goal, confirming their superiority on the day.
