Liverpool star Mohamed Sarah gives a heartfelt tribute to Diogo Jota following the tragic passage ahead of Portugal, with Sarah’s post capturing the deep sense of loss felt in the world of Liverpool’s squad and football.

Sara has been playing with Jota since the Portuguese joined the club in 2020. They were successful together at Anfield, and their offensive partnership brought wonder to the Premier League Giants.

Jota tragically passed away Thursday after being involved in a car accident with his brother Andre.

Sarah posted a homage to Jota on X (formerly Twitter):

“I was really lost with words. Until yesterday, I didn’t think there was anything to scare me back and forth to Liverpool after a break. My teammates go back and forth, but that’s not what I think.

Egypt International also shares a photo of himself embracing Jota during the match, representing the close bond they shared together at Anfield.
