Carlos Alcaraz continued to sort his Wimbledon three-peat campaign by defeating 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 and 6-4 at Centre Court on Friday to reach the fourth round.

Alcaraz has won his winning streak for 21 overall matches and 17 consecutive times at All England Club, where he won his last two titles.

The five-time Grand Slam champion rocked a wobble in the second set in the early break, dropping only four points into his serve in the third set.

Struff got tough, but Alcaraz beat him with a 5-4 lead in the fourth set to win.

Earlier on Friday, Ben Shelton needed about a minute and just four points, closing out a 6-2, 7-5, 6-4 victory over Linky Hijikata in a second round Wimbledon match that stopped the night before, 5-4 in the third set, 5-4.

10-seeded Shelton was about to go out to the game at 9:30pm on Thursday when actions stopped at a second courthouse with no roof or lighting. They returned to the same stadium 16 hours later.

Shelton will then face Merton Fukkovis with his chance to reach the fourth round at the All England Club for the second year in a row.

Other seedling men who advanced were Taylor Fritz, No. 5, Andrei Rublev, No. 14, and Karen Khachanov, No. 17.

This report uses information from the Associated Press.
