It’s safe to say that last season was something of a disappointment for Arsenal.

Rather than finally overcoming the line, Mikel Arteta’s team had to make it in time for three consecutive Premier League runners-up.

However, last year, it wasn’t all fate and darkness as Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri were introduced into the first team, with the former winning 39 contestants and the latter 37, scoring nine goals and providing two assists.

But while Lewis Skelly has signed a new long-term deal, Nuwaneri isn’t, and if the reports are believed, the club could be trying to sign someone who would be bad news for the Enfield-born gem.

Arsenal’s target star could be bad news for nwaneri

After appearing in Hale End Academy and making his first team debut in 2022 and being considered one of the game’s most exciting talents, Nwaneri wrote a pen on paper on his first professional contract in March 2024.

Since then, the young British have continued to develop, and although he is not a regular starter on the first team, despite being only 18 years old, he has really got a glimpse into the quality and has given him quite a name for himself.

However, there have been reports last week or so suggesting that talks over new deals have not progressed, and some have been expecting it.

This issue still appears to be resolved, but it is a problem that could resurface in a few years, especially as people in North London appear to be trying to sign players that could pose a threat to Nuwaneri.

Certainly, in reports that Victor Gyoker is imminent on an imminent arrival, journalist Sebastian Vidal reaffirmed that Arsenal is extremely interested in signing Ebebeki Eze this summer, saying that he is “ready for the hard” to Ebeki Eze.

He revealed that the gunner plans to file an offer to Britons worth up to £60 million in three installments of £20 million.

According to many other stories this summer, it is not yet clear whether that is something Crystal Palace would accept.

Overcoming the line may be a complicated and expensive transfer, but Eze proves that he is worth it, even if his arrival could spell trouble for Nuwaneri.

Why is Eze potentially bad news for Nuwaneri?

The main reason Eze arrived at Arsenal could be bad news for Nuwaneri. It’s game time.

Based on the stories we saw this week, it appears to be the biggest concern of teenagers at this time. That’s what he will see if the palace star moves to the Emirates.

For example, the 27-year-old will rarely separate him from the right, but he will become another established international thing that will go ahead of him in the mid-way order.

Therefore, if Halender wanted more experience in the role, he believed he needed to be better than Martin Odegard and Greenwich-born Ace, as many believed in his ultimately doomed play.

Certainly, the Eagles’ “incredible ‘Duel Monster’ dubbed by reporter Simon Collings, managed to score 14 goals and provide 11 assists in 43 appearances.

Additionally, the former QPR GEM has demonstrated that he has the mentality to make a difference in the big game, scoring in the semi-finals in the FA Cup quarter-finals and then scoring the only goal in the final.

Ultimately, signing Eze may not have a major impact on nwaneri’s game time as a backup to Bukayosaka, but it will definitely affect his potential game time in the middle of the park.

Therefore, Arteta and Co should still aim to bring in the palace monster, but they should do so while considering giving Hale End Phenom a few more minutes.
