Top-ranked Jannik Sinner held a limited practice session at Wimbledon on Tuesday after suffering a right elbow injury the night before in a fourth-round match against Grigor Dimitrov.

The crime who advanced when Dimitrov retired due to a chest injury is set to face 10th place Ben Shelton in the quarterfinals on Wednesday.

In the first words, the three-time Grand Slam champion cancelled a practice session at Aorangi Park in Wimbledon, but he did some work.

The sinner injured his elbow in a fall in the opening game on Monday night, losing the first two sets before Dimitrov retired 2-All in the third set.

The 23-year-old Italian said he had an MRI on Tuesday “to see if there was anything serious.”

Sinner coach and ESPN analyst Darren Cahill had no updates on MRI results when interviewed on the ESPN broadcast Tuesday afternoon.

“We went out on the indoor court and gave the ball (he) for 20-30 minutes just to feel the ball,” Kahill said. “He was fine. It was good to get on the court. It’s impossible for him to take a break.”
