Nottingham Forest plans to file a complaint with the Premier League regarding the transfer of Morgan Gibbs White, according to sources at ESPN.

The announcement is anticipated within the next few days, as Tottenham is poised to activate his £60 million ($81 million) release clause.

Sources indicate that Forest is unhappy with Tottenham’s approach and intends to escalate the matter to the Premier League.

Tottenham maintains they have not violated any rules in their pursuit of Gibbs White, who is reportedly prepared to sign and has already completed his medical examination, according to sources.

This development was first reported by Sky Sports on Friday.

The 25-year-old is expected to eventually make his way to Spurs, but the formal transfer will be postponed while Forest’s concerns are addressed.

Gibbs White played a crucial role in Forest’s successful 2024-25 season, participating in both the Conference League and the Champions League contention for most of the year.

Fan Take: This transfer saga highlights the increasing tensions in the Premier League regarding ethical player recruitment. For fans, it raises questions about the integrity of club negotiations and whether such disputes could potentially disrupt other transfers in the future.
