Daniel Suarez, after five years with Trackhouse Racing, confirmed he will leave the team at the end of the 2025 season. In an interview with Mediablepen, Suarez expressed a sense of relief about the announcement, stating he had anticipated the change for several months. He explained that just like in life, changes happen with people and organizations, and there were no hard feelings or ill will behind his departure.

Suarez, who is confident he will continue competing in the Cup Series in 2026, admitted the past six to eight months had been particularly challenging. He highlighted that the connection and chemistry within the team had diminished, likening it to a relationship where both parties were just cohabiting without feeling good about it anymore. Suarez also mentioned he had raised concerns and suggested areas for improvement within the team, but felt his input was not being acknowledged or acted upon.

Currently, Suarez sits 29th in the championship standings for 2025 and will not secure a win this year. Despite being ahead of his rookie teammate Shane Van Gisbergen, his teammate and Ross Chastain remain competitive in the top 10 in points and active in the season.

Fan Take: This news is significant for NASCAR fans because it marks the end of an era for Daniel Suarez at Trackhouse Racing, a driver who has made a notable impact in the sport. Suarez’s departure highlights the importance of team chemistry and organizational support, and it could signal upcoming shifts within Trackhouse Racing and the broader NASCAR landscape as teams adjust their strategies.
