  • Sports President sends a strong message to Arsenal
  • What’s next for Viktor Gyokeres?

Sports President Frederico Valandas has released a tough official statement aimed at those involved and involved in the transfer of Arsenal and star striker Victor Gyoker, amid the tensions surrounding the absence of preseason training.

The gunners are linked to the movements of Swedish international strikers throughout the summer, and players are also keen to travel to Emirates Stadium.

However, the Premier League giants were unable to meet the demands of Portuguese clubs, who are sticking to player ratings.

Mikel Arteta and sports director Andrea Berta are working hard behind the scenes to complete Gyoker’s contract, but have been hit hard after the latest comments from the sports president.

As Ben Jacobs reported, in a solid message to Portuguese news agency Agencia Lusa, Valandas responded to his failure to report training because of his training, expressing his dissatisfaction with both the player’s actions and the ongoing transfer speculation that linked him to Arsenal on the Premier League side.

He said:

“We are calm, with market closures, heavy fines and apologies to the group all settle.

“If they (Arsenal) don’t want to pay Viktor’s fair market value, we’ll be very pleased with it for the next three years.

“If the genius devising this strategy thinks this will put pressure on him to make it easier for him to leave, then they’re not only totally wrong, it’s making it even more complicated for players to leave.

“No one exceeds the club’s profits. Anyone.”

The sports chief has made it clear that the club cannot be pressured to sell their precious advances below what is considered his fair market value.

The situation remains tense and all eyes are about how both the Armory and Gyoker will respond in the coming days.

Gunner is active in the summer transfer window after signing Kepa Alizabaraga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard.

They are desperate for new strikers who can solve their goalscoring problems and take them to the line in the Premier League title race next season.

Whether their new striker will become Gyoker or someone else remains to be seen.
