Browns Rookie Running Back Quinshon Judkins Faces Arrest Amid Battery and Domestic Violence Allegations

Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinsion Judkins was arrested Saturday night in Florida on charges related to battery and domestic violence. According to Broward County records, Judkins was held overnight and is awaiting his initial court hearing. The arrest report lists the charges as “touch or strike/battery/domestic violence,” which are misdemeanors. It is not clear if Judkins has legal representation at this time.

A Browns spokesperson confirmed the team is aware of the incident and is seeking further details. Judkins, 21, was selected 36th overall in the April NFL Draft after a strong season at Ohio State, where he rushed for 1,060 yards and scored 14 touchdowns. The Browns hope Judkins can step in as their primary running back following Nick Chubb’s departure to the Houston Texans. The team also picked Dylan Sampson in the fourth round. Notably, Judkins is the only player from Cleveland’s seven-person draft class yet to sign his rookie contract, with training camp set to begin this Friday.

Fan Take: This situation is significant for NFL fans because it highlights the ongoing challenges teams face with player conduct off the field, potentially impacting team dynamics and public perception. For the Browns, Judkins’ legal troubles could affect their plans at running back, creating uncertainty about their backfield depth and performance this season.
