Chelsea won the Club World Cup on Sunday, stunning Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 at MetLife Stadium. Enzo Maresca’s side was not fantasized by many to beat European champions, but they did so in an epic way.

Cole Palmer was a Chelsea hero in New Jersey. He was for the success of the UEFA Conference League against Real Betis. He scored twice in the first half and then provided Joao Pedro’s goal assist just minutes before the interval.

Success wins a great season for Chelsea. They secured the Champions League qualifiers for the 2025-26 campaign by taking fourth in the Premier League, as well as the Conference League and Club World Cup trophies. As far as the first season is concerned, Maresca had a great season.

The victory over PSG was not only important for Chelsea in that they are world champions, but also achieved the first in football history. They were the first club to win all the major honors offered to them, and the Club World Cup was the last piece of that puzzle.

Chelsea first won the former First Section in 1955, and just 50 years later it was a success in the Maiden Premier League. Their first FA Cup success was in 1970, with the League Cup winning the first time in 1965. The Champions League was won in 2012, and the Europa League won a year later in 2013, followed by the Conference League in May. And with the success of the Club World Cup, they completed the set.

The party has just begun for Chelsea, and of course there will be supporters who believe this season is the beginning of the club’s golden age potential. But for now, it’s focused on celebrating becoming a world champion.
