Caitlin Clark has shattered a new WNBA record with an outstanding performance against the Dallas Wings, as reported by Athlon Sports. In just her 12th game of the sophomore season, Clark is making waves in the league. On Sunday, Clark and the Indiana Fever faced the top overall draft picks, the Dallas Wings, aiming for a winning record for the first time in nearly two weeks. The Fever triumphed with a decisive 102-83 victory at Gainbridge Field House, improving their record to 11-10. Despite some expectations of offensive struggles, Clark delivered a historic performance.

Clark recorded 14 points, 13 assists, and five steals, becoming one of only two players in WNBA history to achieve this stat line in a single game, joining Alyssa Thomas. She set multiple milestones in Sunday’s win, becoming the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 100 assists in a season and the quickest to reach both 200 points and 100 assists. Additionally, Clark ranks third in WNBA history for games with over 10 points, 10 assists, and five steals and is fifth for the most double-doubles involving points and assists. Clearly, more records are within her reach.

Clark’s next opportunity to make history comes Tuesday when the Fever take on the Connecticut Sun at 8 p.m. EDT, broadcast on ESPN.

Fan Take: Caitlin Clark’s record-breaking feats are a thrilling sign of the WNBA’s rising level of talent and excitement. For fans, her performances highlight the potential for new star-driven storylines that can elevate the league’s visibility and inspire future generations of players.
