If Diaz’s Quest Stumbles, Bayern Shifts Focus to Torosad!

Bayern Munich’s sports director, Max Eval, has been on the lookout for new wingers following Leroy Sané’s exit to Galatasaray. He has reportedly made a €52 million offer to Liverpool for Luis Díaz, but the Premier League champions are reluctant to part ways with the Colombian star, who previously declined advances from Barcelona.

In light of this, Bayern is exploring Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard as a potential backup option should the deal for Díaz fall through. According to Bild, the Belgian international, who has earned 45 caps for his country, is being closely watched by the German club.

Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton in 2023 for €27.5 million, and while the Gunners are eager to extend his contract, he has yet to make a commitment, partly due to interest from Bayern and other elite European clubs. Recently, Trossard switched representation to German agent Dirk Hebel, which could smooth a potential move to the Bundesliga champions.

Though Trossard has not always been a regular starter at Arsenal, he stepped up significantly during the 2024/25 season when several key players were sidelined by injuries.

Fan Take: This news is crucial for soccer fans as it underscores the constant shifting of player allegiances in elite football. Trossard’s potential move to Bayern could further intensify the competition in the Bundesliga, while also hinting at Liverpool’s determination to hold onto their star players.
