The 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend is now officially underway. On Saturday, Team Kate Rinklark will take on Team Nafessa Collier in the WNBA All-Star Game held at Gainbridge Field House in Indianapolis. Before teaming up with Sabrina Ionescu in the game, Kate Rinklark will compete in the WNBA Starry 3-Point Contest on Friday.

The 3-point contest features two former champions, including Sabrina Ionescu, who holds the WNBA and NBA record for 3-point shooting accuracy after sinking 37 out of 40 attempts in 2023. She will defend her title in the competition on Friday.

Rhyne Howard currently leads the league with 56 made 3-pointers this season but will miss the contest due to a left knee injury. Atlanta’s Arisha Gray boasts the highest shooting percentage among contestants at 38.9%. Kate Rinklark, recovering from a left leg injury, aims to improve on her 28.9% shooting this year, down from 34.4% last season, having made all 23 shots off the field and 6 out of 6 beyond the arc in recent games.

The 3-point contest consists of two timed rounds where participants shoot standard balls worth one point, money balls worth two points, and starry balls worth three points. New this year, players can place an “All Money Ball” rack where every ball counts as two points, located at five shooting spots. The top two performers from the first round compete head-to-head in the final.

Contestants include:
– Washington Mystic Guard Sonia Citron
– Indiana Fever Guard Kate Rinklark
– Atlanta Dream Guard Arisha Gray
– New York Liberty Guard Sabrina Ionescu
– Los Angeles Sparks Guard Kelsey Plum

This year’s Skill Challenge participants are:
– New York Liberty Guard Natasha Cloud
– Seattle Storm Guard Skylar Diggins
– Atlanta Dream Guard Arisha Gray
– Seattle Storm Guard Erica Wheeler
– Minnesota Lynx Guard Courtney Williams

Fan Take: The 2025 WNBA All-Star Weekend brings an exciting showcase of top talent and competitive spirit that highlights the league’s rapid growth and star power.
